Beginner’s Days:
Detailed meditation instruction, meditation, lunch and dharma talk. Usually, they run from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Zazenkai:
1 to 3 days of Zen practice. Sitting and walking meditation, silent meals, group discussions and Dharma talks conducted by senior monks. It is an excellent opportunity for everyone to polish his or her practice.
For seasoned practitioners, it’s a chance to widen their experience. For those newer to meditation, it’s an opportunity to take on the challenge of a multi-day retreat and experience the formal, ritualized aspects of Zen practice.
