Our Programs

INTRODUCTION TO ZEN AT MBZC:

Every 3rd Saturday of the month we offer an online and in person discussion about Zen and meditation instruction as taught at MBZC. These run from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Email office@mzbc.org to reserve a spot. Donations appreciated.

SATURDAY PROGRAM:

This is offered in person and online very 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. These half-day practice sessions will include chanting, zazen and a recorded Teisho by Jōshū Sasaki Rōshi. There will also be an informal tea and chat at the end. CLICK HERE for more info

ZAZENKAI:

1 – 3 days of Zen practice. Sitting and walking meditation, silent meals, group discussions and Dharma talks conducted by senior monks. It is an excellent opportunity for everyone to polish their practice.

For seasoned practitioners, it’s a chance to widen their experience. For those newer to meditation, it’s an opportunity to take on the challenge of a multi-day retreat and experience the formal, ritualized aspects of Zen practice.  Beginners are also welcome. CLICK HERE for Calendar of Events
